It’s not often that a party is as universally loved as Glitterbox, but from Resident Advisor to Marie Claire, there were only positive things being said about Ibiza’s now firmly established house and disco fiesta.
At its heart, Glitterbox embodies the idea that the dancefloor should be the focus of a truly transformative night: something of a rarity in the DJ-idolising culture of the modern club. Every Friday throughout last season Space was transformed into a glittering, hedonistic playground, with extravagant live shows and the finest, most eclectic soundtrack found anywhere on the island truly setting the party apart.

Today in America is the Federal Holiday called "Juneteenth" where we celebrate the cessation of slavery. Today's episode of Glitterbox is a high point for me. Detroit's own Dames Brown defies description. Their funky exuberance is stratospheric! Those ladies mean business. The world had better wake up and catch up! Both you, Melvo, and Mousse T. were spectacular at Pacha Barcelona, you were amazed by the Glitterbox t-shirt I was wearing hahahahaha. It's a shame that I left shortly after 2am thanks to Luciano's bad start to the set. I missed a couple of spectacular sets such as Horse Meat Disco and the legendary David Morales. It's a shame that Pacha Barcelona will not leave the night as planned at the beginning.

Goodness I wish people would stop using that symbol as a sign of peace. Candi station and Kelly G have made a cracking tune here but to place a symbol totally mispresented and misinterpreted as peace when it is symbolic of a rune meaning death, division, destruction and annihilation is counterintuitive to their initial message. Since its introduction in 1958 all we have had is death, war and destruction on a colossal scale followed on from other degenerative rune symbols used by far-right tyrants; so please, people, everybody, turn it the right way round, with its arms facing upward, use the peace sign properly, as the life rune, the tree of life, the symbol of peace, the symbol of unity, the symbol of growth and harmony and truth and most of all, love.
